The Green A is continuing to run the detour around the Bromenn Hospital contruction site. It is traveling on Fell Ave between Virginia St. and Emerson St. in both directions.
Route Changes will take effect on Monday, November 7, 2011.
Green-A Route
The bus will no longer turn onto Walnut St and travel past Franklin Park, nor will it continue north through the IWU campus. Instead the bus will remain northbound on Main St, where it will turn right onto Emerson St to resume its existing route.
When heading to Bloomington from Normal the bus will follow the existing route to Fell Ave where it will turn onto Clinton Pl and take Clinton Blvd to Empire St. The bus will take Empire St to Park St where it will turn left and resume its current route past Franklin Park.
The Green-A will also have a few service stop changes while traveling through the Orlando/Northbrook area. We will be removing many of the marked bus stops in this area and we will transition to consolidated stops. When passing through Orlando/Northbrook Estates the bus will only stop at the marked bus stop in front of building #1. The next service stop will be at the marked bus stop near the entrance to Bayberry Village Apartments.
Purple-C Route
The Purple-C route will no longer use Croxton Ave between Morrisey and Bunn. The bus will now travel east/west on Lincoln St.
Also, the route will no longer enter the property at Westminster Village. It will now remain on Lincoln St.
Brown-F Route
The Brown-F route will no longer use the Division St viaduct to service the intersection of Division and Allin. The route will now remain on Emerson St and utilize the Emerson/Seminary bridge.
The service stop for Kane Homes will be moved from Hinshaw St to the corner of Market and Hinshaw. The bus will no longer turn from Market St to access W Monroe St and Livingston St.
Yellow-G Route
The Yellow-G route will no longer service Tri-Towers. The bus will remain on College Ave when traveling to/from west Normal.
Lime-I Route
The Lime-I route will no longer enter the Crossroads Center on Wylie Dr. The bus will remain on Wylie Dr.
Teal-J Route
The Teal-J route will now exit Eastland Mall via the Fairway Dr entrance by Kohl's. It will travel south to Eastland Dr where it will turn left in order to pass by St Joseph Hospital and Cub Foods. It will continue down Eastland Dr to Hershey Rd. The bus will no longer travel on Prospect Rd.
The Teal-J will also begin using Eastport Dr when traveling from Eastland Mall to the Central Illinois Regional Airport. The bus will no longer travel on Royal Pointe Rd.
After departing The Shoppes at College Hills the Teal-J will travel east on GE Rd to Leslie Dr, where it will turn right. It will take Leslie to Pamela, Pamela to Ekstam, Ekstam to Gerig, Gerig to Haeffele, and Haeffele to Empire. The bus will continue to serve the Airport and, after departing the Airport, will travel west on Empire to Hershey Rd.
