The General Manager is the Freedom of Information Act Officer for Bloomington-Normal Public Transit System. All Freedom of Information Act requests need to be directed to the General Manager. Bloomington-Normal Public Transit System, B-NPTS, is the public transportation provider for the communities of Bloomington and Normal, IL. Publicly owned and operated, B-NPTS has provided safe, reliable and affordable transportation to the community since 1972. B-NPTS is owned by the two cities and governed by a Board of Trustees. Funded largely through Federal and State dollars, B-NPTS is not a taxing body. B-NPTS employs 77 full-time employees and 17 part-time employees.
